Just because you don't like doing something doesn't mean it isn't your duty. May I remind you that we are attempting to keep my identity a secret partly to keep you safe? And Elizabeth, by extension?

I don't mind that she knows, specifically, but this cannot keep happening.

I've only told the once, Gregor. Every other time it's because someone else has said something, or figured it out, because apparently there's only so long we can all go on pretending that your last name isn't Vorbarra from a planet named Barrayar before people start asking questions.

( it's not fair to get annoyed at gregor. hell, ivan doesn't even know why he's annoyed at the other man -- this feels like lecturing, and hell if ivan has had it up to here with his relatives lecturing him on this stupid ship where everything's trying to kill him. )
